Philip D. Ricker II
Philip Ricker, a West Texas native, has always had a deep connection to the legal world, inspired by early memories of his mother's legal practice. After attending Southwestern University and playing college football, Phil's passion led him to Baylor Law. Baylor Law is renowned for its focus on litigation and trial work. Upon graduating, Phil embarked on a career in high-stakes family law litigation in Dallas. However, a new chapter began for Phil when his wife was accepted into Texas Tech's Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program. This led him back to West Texas.
Phil's practice is almost entirely dedicated to litigation and protecting his client's rights in the Courtroom. Phil has achieved notable recognition in family law litigation, including 'Best Lawyers Magazine: One to Watch in America' and 'Texas Rising Star' by Superlawyers. His role as an Adjunct Faculty member at Baylor for Family Law Bootcamp further underscores his dedication and expertise in this field. However, Phil routinely and regularly litigates in criminal law, probate law, water law, guardianship law, and civil defense.

Samantha L. Yantz
I'm Samantha Yantz, an Associate Attorney at Ricker Law Firm, where passion for the law meets a genuine commitment to our community in West Texas. Embarking on my legal career in the vibrant legal landscape of Austin, Texas, I dedicated my first three years to the practice areas of estate, probate, and business law. However, my heart led me to West Texas, where I fell in love not just with the vast landscapes but, more importantly, with the warm and welcoming people of this community. My legal journey began at Elon Law School, in Greensboro, North Carolina, where I honed my skills and cultivated a deep understanding of the law. While in law school, I had the incredible opportunity to take summer courses at the Hague in the Netherlands, immersing myself in international legal nuances. Additionally, I was able to spend a term in practice in New Zealand, which has added a unique dimension to my legal expertise.
My practice generally revolves around estate planning, probate, business, and real estate law. My diverse background allows me to approach legal challenges with a holistic perspective, ensuring tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.
